Perfect Sheer Khurma & Shahi Tukda recipes Eid

Ramadan 2021 is here! A very special time of the year wherein food is relished and enjoyed. The festival of delights and celebration. So, while there is so much to cook, prepare and eat, there is one thing which cannot be missed in Eid and that is desserts. Hence, we hereby present 2 such royal recipes namely Sheer Khurma and Shahi Tukda which will make your Eid all the more special. Take a look below:

  1. Sheer Khurma

Ingredients:

5 cups of Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk

2 tin or 200 grams of Nestlé MILKMAID

10 – sliced or blanched almonds

10 – kishmish or raisings

  • tbsp – melon seeds

10 – sliced or blanched – pistas

4 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee

10 – Kaju

4 – dates (seedless and sliced)

1/3 cup of vermicelli (thin)

2 tbsp – Chironji

Recipe:

Step 1:  Take a pan and put it on flame. Now add tbsp of ghee and pour in the pan. Add vermicelli and fry it till it turns golden brown. Now place it aside.

Step 2: Now take a pan and add Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk in it. Also add the fried golden vermicelli in it. Keep stirring it and cook it on sim flame. Cook till vermicelli becomes soft and cooked.

Step 3: Now add dates and Nestlé MILKMAID in that mixture. Mix it well. Cook this mixture and let it thicken. Put this mixture in a separate bowl.

Step 4: Now add Nestlé Everyday Ghee in a pan. Put in all the remaining dry fruit ingredients namely, melon seeds, chironji, pista, kaju and almonds. Cook them till they become golden brown. Do not miss to add raisins or kishmish. Now add the vermicelli mixture in these cooked dry fruits.

Step 5: Sheer khurma is ready to be served and enjoyed.

  1. Shahi Tukda

The name Shahi Tukda itself reflects a crunch of realness and sweetness to its taste. Prepared with bread and sweet chashni lets add a tinge of surprise to it to make it extra special.

Ingredients:

175 gms of sugar

1 cup water

1 tbsp Corn flour

8  – Bread slices

  • 1 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 1 cup Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk
  • 1/2 tin (200 gms) Nestlé MILKMAID

1 tbsp – Dried fruits (mixed)

1 tsp – Elaichi powder (cardamom)

Recipe:

Step 1: Take a bowl and add corn flour in it. Add 2 to 3 tablespoon of Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk in it. Make it a paste. Keep it aside.

Step 2: Now take a pan and put it on gas. Add remaining Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk and Nestlé MILMAID in it. Let it come to a boil.

Step 3: Start adding the prepared corn flour paste in this. Cook it until it thickens. Do not forget to stir it to avoid lump formation. Put elaichi powder as well in this mixture.

Step 4: Take a boiling water and add sugar in it. Make a syrup (chashni) out of it. Now strain this mixture and keep it separate.

Step 5: Take a frying pan and add Nestlé Everyday Ghee. Heat this to fry bread slices. Once the bread is golden brown in color, add them into the sugar syrup. Dip them for some more second to retain the crunchiness of bread.

Step 6: Now, its time to serve them in a special way. Align all the bread slices and put them in serving tray. Now start pouring the mixture on each bread and garnish them with nuts.

Step 7: Eat and enjoy.
