Amazingly delicious Indian sweets

  1. Sheer Khurma Recipe: A speciality in the festival of Eid, Sheer Khurma is a silken pudding with a strong aroma. Originated in the Mughal period, it is Urdu for ‘sweetened milk with dried dates’. It is an authentic recipe but can be easily recreated in your kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk
  • 5 Seedless Dates
  • ⅓ cup Thin Vermicelli
  • 10 Kajus
  • 10 Blanched and Sliced Pistachios
  • 10 Kishmish
  • 4 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Blanched Chironji
  • ½ tin (200 gms) Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 10 Blanched and Sliced Almonds
  • 1 Melon Seeds

Method

  1. Take 2 tbsp Ghee and heat it in a pan. Add the Vermicelli to it and fry it till you see it turn brown. When done, keep it aside.
  2. Then, take a pan and pour milk in it to boil. Add vermicelli to it. Let it simmer till you see the vermicelli has softened and cooked.
  3. Add Nestlé MILKMAID and dates to the mix and stir it well. Keep on heating this mixture till it is thick in texture.
  4. Transfer this to a bowl. Take the remaining ghee and heat it while adding pistachios, almonds, chironji, cashew nuts and melon seeds. Once everything starts turning brown, add the raisins and pour this over the first vermicelli mix. Serve it warm.
  1. Shahi Tukda Recipe: Something as basic as bread can be turned into a royalty like Shahi Tukda if it is cooked the right way. It is best served on Diwali and Eid for guilt-free indulgence, since it is quite heavy in calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 8 slices Bread
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 cup Water
  • 175 gms Sugar
  • ½ tin (200 gms) Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 1 tsp Elaichi Powder
  • 1 cup Nestlé a+ Nourish Milk
  • 1 tbsp Mixed Dry Fruits

Method

  1. To make corn flour paste, add 2-3 tbsp of milk to it and set it aside.
  2. Take the rest of the milk and mix Nestlé MILKMAID with it and boil the mixture. Add corn flour paste to it and stir thoroughly to thicken the mix and then add elaichi to it.
  3. To prepare the syrup, boil water and sugar together, strain it and set aside. Start cutting bread slices into 2 and deep fry it in the ghee till its golden brown.
  4. Right up; dip the fried bread in the sugar syrup for a few seconds to maintain the crispiness of the bread.
  5. Decorate the bread slices on a tray and top it with 1 tbsp mix of the Nestlé MILKMAID mix prepared earlier. Garnish finally with nuts.
